A biomechanics assessment involves the examination of the foot and lower limb, assessing the structures and alignment of bones and joints, muscle strength and weakness, tendons and ligaments and how they all function together when non weight bearing, standing and during walking.

It is ideal for those that have ongoing foot, ankle, knee, leg and even back pain, whether it be from a known injury or an unknown cause, to have a biomechanics assessment to help diagnose the cause of pain.

Common pathologies people have biomechanic assessments for include:

  • (Pronation) Flat feet

  • Bunions

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Heel pain

  • Achilles tendonopathy / Tendonitis

  • Ankle sprains

  • Morton’s neuroma / nerve pain in the ball of the foot

  • Bursitis and capsulitis

  • Shin splints

  • Knee pain / patellofemoral joint syndrome / patellar tendonitis / meniscus injuries

  • Growing pains

  • Leg length discrepancies

  • General foot pain

  • Lower back pain
